Would you watch a TV channel that only broadcasts adverts?
I’m sure you wouldn’t. You watch TV to entertain yourself, discover new things or learn something new.
And sometimes, you watch adverts between the breaks, and can get inspired to buy the stuff you’re interested in (unless you change the channel).
Then, why should your customers pay attention to you on social media if you are only talking about the stuff you sell and what your company does?
